We understand that our lap band blog is brand new, but we searched the web a bit and stumbled upon a really great lap band blog that we can try to live up too! The blog is also called lap band blog conveniently enough, and is only about a few months old. However, it already has a few of really informative articles covering all of the lap band basics and everything else you need to know about the lap band procedure. Read on for a full review of the site.
The first article is entitled “Lap Band Surgery: How Does it Work?” and provides a full detail of how the lap band is placed around the top portion of the stomach and how it forms a pouch so that it tightens your stomach to make you feel like you are full. It’s quite the informative article and also goes on to describe how the lap band fills work where the pouch is injected; you see the lap band system is complicated stuff! Interestingly enough, the entire procedure is also reversible, which is pretty insane when you think about it. But once the gastric band or slim band is removed, (other commons names for the lap band) the stomach heals itself over a short period of time and then your back to normal. It’s a great article and you should check it out.
The second article is entitled “Lap Band Surgery: Who Is It For?” and explores what type of person would qualify for the lap band surgery; because it is only for obese people and there are certain requirements that you need to have in order to be able to qualify for the lap band surgery. Some of these include having a body mass index of over 40 and having a history of obesity. All in all the article just describes how the surgery isn’t just for people struggling to lose a few pounds, it is for people who have failed all other weight loss plans and desperately need to get in shape.
The third article is entitled “Lap Band Surgery: How Much Does It Cost?” and basically describes the top countries and lap band clinics where in each of those countries, being Canada, US, Mexico and India. The cost of the lap band surgery can go from $8,000 in India, to $16,000 in Canada all the way up to $25,000 in the United States.
